Dave Burgess

Dave is an acknowledged and respected subject matter expert with over 30 years’ experience in the field of worldwide automotive legislation compliance. Having previously managed type approval programmes with Ford and Bentley, Dave has most recently been an independent advisor to the wider specialist automotive industry.  During this time he assisted in the drafting of European and US Federal vehicle legislation and was a member of the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile GT World Championship working group responsible for formulating and agreeing Technical Regulations.  He has unparalleled experience in the legislative requirements of Armoured Fighting Vehicles advising the UK MoD and Defence Prime Contractors worldwide including General Dynamics, Thales, Rheinmetall , Supacat , Singapore Technologies and NIMR.

Marcus Murphy IEng, MInstMC, MIIE, MInstLM
Principal System Safety Consultant

Principal System Safety Consultant with experience in the safety, environmental and defence sector. Responsible for the development, management and delivery of the Company’s safety and environmental business. Marcus has provided safety management support to Ministry of Defence Programme and Delivery Teams as well as Defence Prime Contractors since 2001, whilst previously serving for 22 years as a member of the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME). His technical experience encompasses a wide variety of safety techniques, technical consultancy and project management including:
Independent Safety Auditor / Adviser, Complex Safety Case Preparation, Safety Programme Management, Cassandra Hazard Log and Risk Management Training, Fault Tree and Event Tree Analysis,  Defence Standards 00-056 and 00-058, DSA02 DLSR LSSR and DSA03 DLSR LSSR, POSMS and POEMS, Mil Std 882 and IEC 61508.

Compliance Officer responsible for product certification (CE/UKCA marking), providing legislation compliance assessments and guiding customers towards compliance against the requirements and testing their products.

Doug Roberts B.Eng (Hons)
Senior Compliance Engineer

Senior Compliance Engineer with experience in automotive type approval, conformity of production, quality and the defence sector. Responsible for providing legislation compliance assessments and guiding customers towards compliance against the requirements and testing their products. Past experience includes working for the VCA carrying out testing, audits, representing the UK at the Type Approval Authorities Meeting (TAAM) and interpreting regulations across all categories of vehicles. He has carried out type approval projects, implemented conformity of production procedures and quality management systems. A Mechanical Engineer Graduate from Sheffield Hallam University, a Lead Auditor to ISO 9001:2015, Safety trained through the MOD and currently working towards Chartered Engineering status.

Steven Hill B.Eng (Hons)
Certification and Homologation Engineer

Certification and Homologation Engineer with experience in homologation, design, production engineering and management. Responsible for the handling of type approval submissions, Conformity of Production submissions and ISO 9001:2015 auditing. Past experience includes working with Venari Group, where he was in charge of the homologation of specialist vehicles including fire engines to EN1846, police vehicles and ambulances to EN1789. He also worked with Bentley Motors, producing and managing European Community Whole Vehicle Type Approval applications.
